Jamel Kirby

After receiving his Bachelors Degree Jamel
was drafted into the NFL but his career was cut short due to a (ACL) knee
injury. Jamel spent the next 22 years in sales and management with Fortune
500 companies. Jamel has many years of management and coaching/mentoring
experience in various markets: direct and channel, with hardware and services,
telecommunications, retail, real estate, shared tenant services and payday
advance. Jamel processes the ability to think outside the box, with the
skill sets to get the job done.
In 1995 Jamel transferred his skill set from a corporate business environment
to consulting small businesses in areas of business development, creation
and growth. Jamel started with mom & pop’s and grew his consulting
business to include mid-size multi-state organizations.
In 2004 Jamel founded Lemaj Company, LLC. Lemaj is a multi-faceted business
enterprise providing Business Consulting and Distribution Services. Construction
was completed in June 2005 on Lemaj’s first project, a 3 acre multi-service
facility which included industrial condominiums. This development created
5 new businesses and 15 new jobs. Lemaj also provided incubator support
for the tenants (legal, accounting, financial and business consulting).
In 2005 Jamel founded Tory’s Auto Plaza, a Registered Motor Vehicle Dealership
located in Des Moines, Iowa.
Jamel has lobbied and strongly supported Iowa’s Targeted Small Business
bill, and provided diversity information for the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
Currently Jamel sits on the Boards of several prominent foundations and
non-profit organizations.
Jamel has two sons and three grandchildren. Jamel has homes in Iowa and
California. He and his wife are active in church and enjoy traveling.
Steven Omo
Steven Omo graduated high school in 1982 and spent the next 4 years in the Air
Force doing neurodiagnostic testing. As part of his responsibilities were
the procurement of specialty items. After receiving an honorable discharge
he spent the next 3 years performing neurodiagnostic testing as the Chief
technologist at several southern hospitals.
Building upon his medical experience, he accepted a position as the southeast
regional manager for Axon Systems Inc. During his tenure at Axon Systems
Inc he utilized his expertise and marketing skills to establish the initial
presence in Tennessee and at the Medical college of Georgia, in Augusta,
as well as adding to the Florida, and Alabama Markets.
Due to his achievements he was awarded a territory expansion into Louisiana,
Kentucky, and Texas increasing revenue by 9%. Moving to Iowa in 1998,
he accepted a position as an area manager for CCP Industries Inc. distributing
industrial supplies. During his first year was noted as a “quota buster”
for increasing sales by 35% over previous years. Steve’s approach to consultive
sales gives him a very competitive edge over his competition. Steve is
currently pursuing his MBA.
Steve has 2 school aged boys he is very proud of, and they keep him very
busy.
